Double Cream Brie

Double Cream Brie
Comes from: cows
Purchased at: Trader Joe's
$5.49/lb

This is brie. Brie, everyone. Everyone, brie.

This is not quite half a pound of brie.

This is not quite half a pound of brie that I ate while I was studying the night before my step 2 CK.

Which did not go so well.

But there was brie, at least.

Brie from Trader Joe's.

Trader Joe's is kind of like the Ikea of cheese-sellers. You will not buy what you want; you will buy what the store *has.* In bulk.

It will be pretty good anyway.

trader joe's has wine in CA. the principle of their wine sales is similar to their cheese sales. they will not have what you want. you buy what they have. it usually turns out to be pretty good.

Brie is a nice reliable cheese, so that's okay. For instance, the other day I had some American-made *goat's milk* Brie - how that counts as Brie, I have no idea - and it was fine. Fine! Could Malaysians make decent Brie out of soy milk? Maybe yes! Further investigation is called for.
